Program Description:
Università Bocconi-Yale College Economics Exchange Program Application

The Università Bocconi-Yale College Economics Exchange Program application is the process by which you can apply to earn transfer credit for study abroad at the Università Bocconi during the academic year. This one application is sufficient for applying both for admission to Bocconi and approval from the Yale Year or Term Abroad Committee. Complete all required Yale application materials by the relevant deadline. Retroactive applications for Yale credit for coursework completed abroad will not be accepted. Note that, if your application is approved by Yale, you will have to complete additional registration materials for Bocconi. If you have any questions, please email studyabroad@yale.edu.

Before applying, ensure you meet Bocconi eligibility requirements. To be eligible to apply, you must: 
  • Be an Economics major; applicants must speak with the DUS of Economics prior to applying for this program
  • Be a first or second semester junior at time of enrollment abroad
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, or:
    • Applicants with a cumulative GPA below 3.0 will be asked to submit an additional short essay that addresses their GPA and outlines specific strategies for maintaining academic good standing abroad. You should also ensure that you meet the GPA requirement of your intended study abroad program(s).
  • Be in academic good standing
  • Not be on disciplinary probation at time of enrollment abroad; when reviewing applications for approval, disciplinary records will be taken into consideration
The application period is open from:
  • Spring 2021 term abroad: September 1, 2020 - October 15, 2020
  • Fall 2021 or Full Year 2021-2022 term(s) abroad: Opening Date TBD; Deadline: April 1, 2021
